This week saw a significant events in Libya : the non-recognized (internationally) Tripoli government decided to step down. The following weeks will be interesting : Are there still going to be a separate LNA AF and LDAF ?
Operations
Otherwise, air operations continued. On 1st April, Mi-35P serial number "193" made an emergency landing due to technical problem. The crew was safe and rescue by a Mi-8 from Labraq AB. The "Hind" was in good condition and guarded by local militias pending the arrival of maintenance technicians who made the repairs on site. The helicopter took off again two days after.

On 3rd April, LNA Air Force MiG-21s launched air strikes against sites of terrorist militias in the axis of Souq al-Hout (whale market). During the night of 4-5 April, Mi-8 helicopters performed bombing mission on lldwaash and Rulrhh area near the pipe factory (Benghazi). On 5th, MiGs targeted again a site of terrorist militias in the axis of Souq al-Hout.
New pilot for Mirage F1AD
On 4th April, Colonel Tahar made his first flight and experience in command of Mirage F1AD serial number "402". His mission was the monitoring of Libyan west border. This Mirage started to be repaired by cannibalizing other aircrafts in March 2015 and entered in service in December 2015.
